Design
＂Design＂ in the Patent Law means any new design of the shape, the pattern or their combination,
or the combination of the color with shape or pattern, of a product, which creates an aesthetic feeling and is fit for industrial application.
Examination
A design application shall undergo the both Formality Examination and Substantive Examination
Patent Term
15 years from the filing date for the application filed on and after June 1, 2021;
10 years from the filing date for the application filed before June 1, 2021.
International Priority
Within 12 months from the first filing date
Patent Annuities
The first annuity shall be made with the certificate fee and subsequent annuity shall be made every year
- A copy of specification and a set of formal drawings or photographs shown front, rear, right, left, top, bottom, and perspective views of the subject matter.
- The name and address of the inventor/applicant.
- A copy of applicant-signed Power of Attorney.
- A certified copy of the priority document if claiming for a priority right.
